Who are we?

A family-run company with more than 30 years experience in the fishing industry, operating our own fleet of trawlers, refrigerated trucks and a number of processing plants located in Ireland and the UK.

What can we do for you?

We can supply you with assured quality seafood products, including frozen and fresh Scampi (Nephrops Norvegicus); Live/Frozen Razor Clams (Ensis Siliqua); Monkfish (Lophius Piscatorius), Velvet Crab (Portunus Puber), Brown Crab (cooked and live), Cockles, Whole Fish, Fish Fillets and a number of other seafood products.

Processing Plant

We have invested heavily in our British Retail Consortium (BRC) accredited processing plant in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin having just completed a very large investment in the facility (one of the largest signal investments in the fishing industry in Ireland in 2014/2015). We have installed a “state-of-the-art” traceability system to ensure the products you purchase from us have been processed in our pristine, ultra modern factory by our highly trained staff while remaining fully traceable back to our vessels and the fishing ground where the product was caught.

In addition to BRC certification our facility has been independently audited under the Bord Iascaigh Mhara Responsibly Sourced Standard (BIM RSS) and the Responsible Irish Fish schemes. These schemes ensure our factory meets the stringent requirements of the respective Standards while ensuring our traceability system provides assurance that the seafood products we produce are traceable to vessels contributing to the long-term sustainability of fish stocks through their fishing practices.

Trawler Owners

At Rockabill, we maintain our own fleet of 14 modern trawlers, all equipped with on-board refrigeration. Our own vessels fish for a number of species ranging from day vessels that catch live razor clams and live scallops to state-of-the-art factory vessels catching Dublin Bay Prawns and freezing them on board.

Rockabill also buys a portion of their supply from up to 100 carefully selected and monitored  Trawlers to ensure their adherence to our high standards.

Rockabill NI

Rockabill N.I. Ltd is a further exciting development in the Rockabill Seafood story set up in early 2014 by the Rockabill Group.

Nestling on the eastern corner of the North Irish coastline, lies the port of Ardglass, a jewel in the crown of Northern Ireland fishing industry. It is here that Rockabill N.I Ltd have strategically set up their main office and now a processing plant to process whitefish, scallops and hopefully more products in the future. Rockabill N.I. have also set up offices in nearby ports, Kilkeel and Portavogie. Rockabill N.I. was set up by the Rockabill Group to give the fishermen of Northern Ireland & Scotland a world class service and supply their products to Ireland’s leading seafood processor, Rockabill Seafood Ltd.

All of the ports around the Northern Irish coast line and west coast of Scotland are key to our future here in Rockabill.

The bitterly cold waters around our shores ensure that the texture and tenderness of our seafood is second to none. We have some of the richest wild fishing grounds here on our door step and this helps us supply a “World class product”.
